The Southern Africa 2012 International Investment Promotion Programme (SADC IIPP) has been developed to reflect the needs of investment promotion professionals in Southern Africa.

 

DAY ONE: FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT (FDI) AND INVESTOR FACILITATION (08:30 - 17:15)

Key Learning Points: Day One provides a global, macroeconomic perspective to investment promotion in Southern Africa. Participants hear about what makes an ideal investment promotion agency. They also experience, first hand, some of the techniques required to understand international business and to promote their country/region effectively to investors.

Experts from Deloitte explain exactly how companies assess locations for investment and how IPAs create effective strategies. The day completes with practical sessions on implementing lead generation campaigns, and the practical experiences of investors in Southern Africa.
